Kemi OG is a dance artist, choreographer, fitness instructor, creative artist, and director. She founded AFROBEAT at JHU in 2015, a Zumba-inspired afro-dance fitness program focused on African, Caribbean, and other Diaspora rhythms and worked as its main instructor for its first 3 years at Johns Hopkins University. She is currently the Founder of Afrobeats with Kemi OG, a dance program that shares African culture through classes and workshops. She has performed for artists such as Tiwa Savage, Oritse Femi, Toofan, Yemi Alade, Eddy Kenzo, Afro B, and others. Interested in getting to know more? Afrobeats with Kemi OG is a dance choreography program with inspirations from several Afro-dance styles, Soca, Dancehall, hip-hop, and more. It focuses on getting to the roots of Afrodance, and using that knowledge and culture to create vibes, energy and madness. Shege. That's what it is. and the squad is waiting for you. Classes can be taken in-person or virtually through the Institute of Contemporary Dance every Monday at 7:30pm.
